Exercise 2: Robo advertisement

A little exercise with also using the lesson taught last week. We get to do our own parenting, changing the pivot and what we learnt last week into the exercise today. Mr.Kim Boon (lecturer) do help refreshing our memories and guide us steps by steps. Something new we learned is how to cut a video and insert a few into one. Besides that, we learn to add in effects (in typo) and blending two backgrounds into one (using the blending mode - overlay).

We started by doing the robot (machine) first in a composition. We began parenting and changing the pivot. After that we edit the movement starting from the biggest gear (bottom) first and move one by one to the other part when done.

This is where we edit the four different clips into one.

As taught, we do each section in different composition and after done all, add all into one composition.

Week 1: Introduction to After Effect

Today we learned on the basic of Adobe After Effect, where we learned how to animate a short animation. We are to make an apple fall and landed after that it goes to the side and is scaled smaller. This in conclude the text dropping down.

Half way through

Thinking since it  was my first time using the software, I was afraid I couldn't catch up. However, it turned out easier than I thought but still more practice on it.

So first, to start, we have to create the file/ image in Photoshop and separate the moving objects into different layers. After imported into the AE (After Effect), we arranged them accordingly and parent them. Then only we start setting the timing of the animation.
